Westerlig Primary School in Danville, Pretoria, need a new bus. The one that they currently use is a 1970’s model and is often not in a working condition. The bus is used to transport the children to outings and sporting events, but also relied on by many of the children as it is their only form of transport to and from the school.
Caring Daisies was approached to help raise the funds for a new bus, which would cost around R400 000.00. They made a deal with the school principal, Mr Erich Cloete that if the school raised R50 000.00, they would help raise the balance. This is exactly what happened and more.
