No hiccups for the Men’s Top 10 seeded players on Day 7

Day 7 proved to be a good day for the Men’s Top 10 seeded players at this year’s French Open in Paris.

South Africa’s Kevin Anderson (6), was pushed to four sets by Mischa Zverev of Germany for his 6-1 3-7(3) 6-3 7-6(4) win.

Anderson’s next opponent will be Diego Schwartzman (11) from Argentina, who took out Borna Coric of Croatia, 7-5 6-3 6-3.

The top seed and reigning Men’s champion, Rafael Nadal remains on track for a record breaking eleventh French Open title, when he knocked out the French player, Richard Gasquet, 6-3 6-2 6-2.

Next up for Nadal will be the unseeded Maximilian Marterer of Germany, who defeated Jurgen Zopp of Estonia, 6-2 6-1 6-4.

Big John Isner (9) from the USA added to the French crowd’s disappointment, when he defeated another French hopeful, Pierre-Hugues Herbert, 7-6(1) 6-4 7-6(4).

Isner’s fourth round opponent will be none other than Juan Martin Del Potro (5) of Argentina who defeated Albert Ramos Vinolas of Spain, 7-5 6-4 6-1.

Marin Cilic (3) of Croatia has set up a fourth round clash against the very entertaining and animated Italian, Fabio Fognini (18).
