Another win for Kevin Anderson in Paris

South African hopeful and the 6th seed, Kevin Anderson is in to the third round at the French Open after defeating Pablo Cuevas from Argentina, 6-3 3-6 7-6(5) 6-4 on Court 7 today.

Anderson needed 2h44 to advance and despite serving 21 aces, he balanced his 42 unforced errors out with 44 winners.

Anderson’s third round opponent will be Mischa Zverev of Germany, who earlier defeated Sergiy Stakhovsky of the Ukraine, 6-3 6-7(0) 7-6(2) 6-1.

The fifth seed, Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina, continued his good form when he defeated Julien Benneteau of France, 6-4 6-3 6-2 on Chatrier.

This means that Del Potro will now play Albert Ramos-Vinolas of Spain in the third round. Ramos-Vinolas got the better of Casper Ruud of Norway, 6-4 6-2 6-4.

Rafael Nadal, Marin Cilic, Diego Schwartzman, John Isner, Kyle Edmund, Fabio Fognini and Richard Gasquet also won their matches today.
