Kevin Anderson sounds out the warning shots at Wimbledon

South Africa’s Kevin Anderson sent out a strong warning to the other players after his clinical performance against Andreas Seppi of Italy today.

It was so clinical that Anderson needed just 1 hour and 40 minutes, including 16 aces and no break point opportunities for Seppi, to book a third round spot against Ruben Bemelmans of Belgium, who defeated Daniil Medvedev 6-4 6-2 3-6 2-6 6-3. Medvedev shocked Stan Wawrinka in the first round.

In other action, the No. 1 seed, Andy Murray sailed past Dustin Brown, 6-3 6-2 6-2. His third round opponent will be Fabio Fognini, who defeated Jiri Vesely, 7-6(3) 6-4 6-2.

Other players to advance on Day 3 are Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, Sam Querrey, Kei Nishikori and Gilles Muller.
