Nadal cruises into the quarter-finals in Paris

The French Open favourite and fourth seed, Rafael Nadal of Spain needed just 1 hour and 50 minutes to cruise past his Spanish countryman, Roberto Bautista Agut, 6-1 6-2 6-2 on Court Suzanne Lenglen a short while ago.

Nadal, who is looking for his record 10th French Open title, has not faced any stiff competition so far in this year’s tournament, but from hereon it will not get any easier as he now awaits the outcome of the Milos Raonic / Pablo Carreno Busta match, which is currently underway on Court 1.

Raonic, who is seeded 5th at this year’s French Open is currently leading the match by 2-1 sets, but Carreno Busta is up with a break in the fourth set.

Defending champion, Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem, who defeated Nadal at the Italian Open last month, are also in the same draw as Nadal.
