It’s been a tough road back for South Africa’s top tennis player, Kevin Anderson, who was sidelined with injury before returning to the ATP tour in February this year.
The former No. 10 and now, 74th seeded Anderson, who has played in seven tournaments since returning, is definately regaining some of his form, if the last two tournaments are anything to go by.
Anderson reached the Round of 16 at the Barcelona Open, but was beaten by the eventual champion, Rafael Nadal, 6-3 6-4.
He then headed to the Estoril Open and managed a semi-final spot, before losing to today’s finalist, Gilles Muller 7-5 6-4.
Anderson’s best Singles result at a Grand Slam was a quarter-final spot at the US Open in 2015. He has never advanced past the fourth round at any of the other three Grand Slams.
